Last week’s biggest release was Desi Boyz starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chittrangda Singh. The movie was being awaited hugely by the fans but what had happened to the masses that they did not turn out in those figures being expected prior to the release? Weird! Desi Boyz witnessed average opening in India.

The week one started with average business. Where Desi Boyz did the poor collections, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar that was doing good previously too dropped its business in Indian markets.

Desi Boyz made somewhat good collections in Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan markets. The first week’s collections for the movie are Rs. 25 crores.

So far there has not been seen any good reaction of the moviegoers towards the movie.

The Dirty Picture opened this week and Balaji Telefilms this mammoth project witnessed the super duper opening all over the country. Vidya Balan has turned the biggest actress of Bollywood arena now after the good opening of the movie. The movie got what was being expected by the makers and the cast. The audience gave full support to the makers’ expectations. Desi Boyz and Rockstar will get tough competition now with The Dirty Picture that is all set to make the new records at the box office.

Heartthrob of Indian cinema Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar rocked the country and the world. The film witnessed a strong beginning at the box office. The good business was seen at the multiplexes but if seen the single screens, they did not generate good business for the movie.

Since Ranbir’s star power is high among the youngsters, the movie’s business was seen more at the multiplexes. Rockstar got the mixed reviews and reports but the opening weekend was impressive for the film. The bigger centers of the country such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune and Bangalore have been impressive in terms of business.

The opening of Rockstar has witnessed with the mammoth collections of gross Rs. 53 crores in India (Nett Collection: Rs. 37 crores) in just three days’ time. Shah Rukha Khan’s Rs. One has now dropped.

Rockstar : Rs. 53 crores (Nett Rs. 37 crores)

Ranbir’s star power has increased more after the success of this film. Although the film got mixed reviews by the critics, the film witnessed good business in the opening days just because of the star persona of Ranbir. He multiplied his worth after the release of the film and is now being roped in many big projects. The prominent one is Sajid Nadiadwala’s 2 States in which Imitiaz will once again be directing him. Ranbir did the efforts to fetch in Imitiaz in this flick, as he is quite impressed by his directing skills.

Well, Nargis Fakhri, the leading lady of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar, has a Brazilian husband. Her Brazilian hubby has been making bigger ripples these days.  Hmmm….this babe is not married, guys….balance your breaths….she is married in the film instead.

Moufid Aziz, the Brazilian born model turned actor, is Nargis’ hubby in Imtiaz Ali’s flick, ‘Rockstar’. The guy has not been introduced in any of film’s promotion and has not been even fetched along to promote the movie.

When asked about his absence in the film’s promotions, he said that Imitiaz is a great director and he likes to offer the surprises to the audiences and may be his part is a big surprise for the viewers. Well, it’s a good judgment by Aziz!

The Brazilian actor revealed that he has been in India since 2007 and he has been paying the taxes here. He has done and is doing many modeling tasks here and then he felt the need to showcase his acting talents. He decided to join in Bollywood and straight went to give audition for Imitiaz’s Rockstar. He bagged the job instantly. He delivered two auditions and soon was fetched by Imitiaz Ali.

His role is of a man who does international business ventures and is a kind human being, who is caring for his family – his mother and wife (Nargis Fakhri).

Aziz has done many modeling jobs and has walked the ramps in various countries like Germany, Portugal and Spain, etc. Like him, Nargis too has been an international model.

Well, a few might be knowing that yesterday was Nargis Fakhri’s birthday. But to make it lavish and memorable forever, her beau Ranbir Kapoor did the wonders which actually made the birthday much excited. Nargis cut the cake and celebrated the birthday mid-air. All thanks to the boyfriend – Ranbir Kapoor.

Nargis is making her Bollywood debut with Imtiaz Ali’s ambitious movie, ‘Rockstar’. She is doing the main lead opposite beau Ranbir Kapoor.

While the couple was on their way to Nagpur, Ranbir surprised her girl with the birthday cake right in the mid air. The birthday was celebrated 20,000 feet above the earth. Ranbir had also ordered goodies along with Nargis’ favorite cake.

Ranbir and Nargis have been dating since the movie went on floors. Mohit Chauhan sang special song for Fakhri in the plane. Producer Hiren Gandhi was also there.

Nargis had announced her birthday on twitter when she mentioned that she was missing her mother and father on this happy day.

She hails from the U.S.A and missed her whole family on her birthday. She got overwhelmed when she cut the cake. After this lavish birthday in the air, Nargis mentioned on twitter that Ranbir’s surprise really surprised her and she got hugely happy.

Both Ranbir and Nargis have been spotted together at various locations. They have been dating since long. After dumping Katrina Kaif, Ranbir turned to Nargis Fakhri and the two seems happy in each other’s company.

Rockstar  is expected to be a big blockbuster and is being awaited.

Another instance of association between Hollywood and Bollywood. A.R. Rahman’s new compostion venture for the movie Rockstar involves a rocking number “Sadda Haq”. The Mozart of bollywood collaborated with MJ’s lead guitarist Orianthi Panagaris, who worked with Micheal Jackson for the ill-fated “This is It” concert. She also played and sang at Jackson’s memorial on July 7^th 2009. Apart from Michael Jackson, she has worked with several international artists like Alice Cooper, Carlos Santana, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Steve Vai, Allison Iraheta, Koda Kumi and Slash.“While Rahman and Imtiaz Ali (director of the movie Rockstar and with hits in his kitty like Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal) had short-listed several Indian and international musicians, they had Orianthi on top of their list, given her incredible body of work and her huge international success. Imtiaz Ali spoke at length with Orianthi expanding about Rockstar’s story and relevance of “Saadda Haq” in the film. Rahman recorded the 'Saadda Haq' in his Los Angeles studio. The process took six hours, while Imtiaz witnessed the entire process through Skype software apps. Orianthi won the award for “Breakthrough Guitarist of the Year 2010″ by the Guitar International magazine. Rockstar releases on 11 November starring Ranbir Kapoor and absolutely stunning model, Nargis Fakhiri.

Generally it is Diwali time when big projects clash with each other on box office. A number of Bollywood films release together at festival time. But seems like this year it is not October – November but September that would see release of big films. On 9^th September this year Bollywood would witness some clashes when the young brigade of the industry will strike a chord together. Imran Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor will be seen competing with each other at box office.

As Shahid Kapoor’s much awaited project ‘Mausam’ is postponed to be released in September, it would be clashing with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Rockstar’ and Imran-Katrina’s ‘Mere Brother ki Dulhan’. This would translate into some stiff competition between the three. The makers of Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Mausam’ have confessed that the film will be postponed from its original date of July 22. “I am sure al the three films are good. We find September 9 as the right date to release ‘Mausam’. Now let the best man and the best film win. Let the audience make the decision,” says te producer of ‘Mausam’, Sheetal Talwar.

But Taran Adrash the well known film analyst does not seem too happy with the three films releasing together. “Even a Diwali weekend is not enough to accommodated three release. And the non-festive weekend by no means will be enough for three big films like these, which also clashes with three heart-throbs. The business of each film could get affected by almost 40%,” says Taran.

So you guys just be prepared to have a rollercoaster with three handsome hunks clashing with each other at box office…

Ranbir Kapoor getting spotted with any of his lady friends generally gets the tongues wagging. So, it wasn’t surprising when he fanned the gossip by being seen in the company of his Anglo-Indian co-star, Nargis Fakhri, with whom he plays the leading role in the film ‘Rockstar’.

So what exactly were the two doing? Well, they had gone to the Juhu multiplex last Monday to watch the film ‘Black Swan’ that won Oscar for the film’s leading lady. And they were not alone. Ayan Mukherji accompanied them. But that did not deter our Mr. Charming from enjoying a cosy evening with Fakhri, watching the movie.

When Ranbir realised that newshounds are waiting for them outside the hall to spoil his evening, he immediately parted ways with Fakhri and caught hold of a male friend to make his exit. Nargis went out with Ayan and, disappointingly, had to hitch a ride with him in his car.

Ranbir always manages to give the wrong signals. First it was Deepika Padukone, then it was Katrina Kaif, who was caught dining with him in a suburban five star hotel, and now it is Nargis Fakhri. Incidentally, Nargis is enjoying a growing proximity with Ranbir ever since they started shooting together for Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar.
