Pramod Joshi’s Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein has hit the screens. The movie stars the likes of Anupam Kher, Sachin Khedekar, Anjan Srivastav and Mrinal Kulkarni. The film tells the saga of the transformation of a man (who is workaholic) into enlightened person.

The film talks about Aditya Pradhan (Sachin Khedekar) who happens to be an IT professional and is a true workaholic working days and nights in order to attain the targets in his organization. He has set goals for him. He is the one who does not like giving the second thoughts prior to going to complete throttle to remain in the competition. Mounting up things of materialistic pleasure always bring him a sense of victory. His better half and daughter yearn for his organization and wants his time as well but he is too much engaged to satisfy their needs. One day, both leave him in a big state of frustration and then weird things begin happening with Aditya. He starts getting trapped in time loop – meaning that every day in his life turns Sunday. He then meets a man who is interesting and a charismatic blind man (Anupem Kher) who lets him understand the worth of living life king size.

The script is good but takes a complicated route to let the viewers understand the concept of the movie. In addition to this, the writer has tried to sum up many emotions in one plate (one film) but he could not succeed in the effort. The direction by Pramod Joshi is average. Cinematography is good but editing seems poor. The length of the film should have been shortened more. Music is passable.

Anupam Kher does the brilliant job. He is a classy actor and delivers the goods supremely always. Sachin Khedekar is first rate. Remaining characters of the movie are okay.

On the whole, Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein is a below average saga.
