Sonam’s temper tantrums, typical of Bollywood’s bada log continue to rattle directors. Previously, director Pankaj Kapur had to send Sonam packing after she arrived late on several occasions for ‘Mausam’. This time, she made it a point to give it back in the same coin by storming out of the sets of ‘Mausam’ in Chandigarh, alleging lack of proper arrangements.
Sonam had flown down to Chandigarh in the morning to shoot for a song sequence for ‘Mausam’. When she reached the hotel, no room had been booked for her and she had to sit out for an hour. Not used to such indignities, she somehow controlled her temper, freshened up and went to the location of the set. Here too she found her vanity van, along with her make-up man and spot boy, missing. The production house responsible for the same took their own sweet time in reverting back to her. This made Sonam so angry that she stormed out of the sets and didn’t turn up for the shoot at all. It was after much persuasion by the film crew that she completed the song sequence. Of course, as is the Bollywood norm, this little episode was denied both by Sonam and the producer Sheetal Talwar.
