Madhuri Dixit still has the charm to capture the minds of the public to herself. People still want her to be on the screen but will that happen?? Will Madhuri sign more movies for her fans who are demanding them?? What is the reason she is not being on screen?? Many directors/producers have attempted to take her in the movies. The problem is that her count has reached from 1 to 5.
Actually, it is in the air that Madhuri is demanding Rs. 5 crores from the producers. She has clearly said that she won't accept any offer under Rs. 5 crores. If news is correct, around four producers have already approached her but no one is ready to pay her this huge sum. It is known that nowadays, actresses like Katrina, Kareena, Deepika and Priyanka take this much money. But, Madhuri is not the type to act lead roles in the movies now. She can act the roles of a mother or a sister. So except the case when a role has been written specially for her, why would a producer give her that much??
This is the common thinking of the industry. Truth is that her last hit was "Devdas" which had superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai with her. So, it will be unfair to say that Devdas was hit due to her alone. Her comeback movie "Aaja Nach Le" was a big flop.
According to Madhuri, "I have a seperate fan following which always wants me to do roles in movies. So, why am I wrong in demanding Rs. 5 crores??"
