Abbas-Mustan’s action packed thriller starring Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu, Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead made around $1.55 million in international circuit. Players’ collections from the major markets obtained so far as:
UK (United Kingdom) - £220,000
America - $340,000
UAE - $410,000
The film is doing good collections at the box office in Pakistan. The exact figures are yet to come. Agneepath, Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt starrer, the remake of the 90s hit with the same title starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, has been doing good in international market. The film, as broke Bodyguard’s record in India on its opening day with the collections, is expected to do the same in world over wherever the movie was released. In international markets, the action films do well as we witnessed recently Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 did wonders. Dhoom 2 had done brilliant as well. Bodyguard, though not an action film, did superb but since Agneepath is a pure action flick, it is expected to shoot to heights at the box office.
The overseas market delivers handsome bucks to the action thrillers and so Agneepath is waiting. The film opened in Pakistan as well that is the biggest hub for Bollywood films being the neighbor of India. The reporst say that the film has been making good business there and long queues were witnessed. Lets’ wait and see the business report from there. Karan Johar is super happy these days with the success of his Agneepath.
